PANDEY often encounters properties in great locations that have been vacant for years, or their historical use is inconsistent with adjacent properties. These properties are ripe for redevelopment but incomplete assessments and remedial plans, and lack of funding have resulted in a frustrating and inconclusive process.

Ohio's Director of Urban Development referenced another project as "the benchmark for aggressive deadlines." The National Brownfields Association Annual Conference recently profiled one of these projects.
